6/48 The Queen's Public House
House, now public house. c1800 with mid-C19 alterations. Brick with plain
tiled roof and end stacks. Two storeys and attic with moulded eaves cornice
to front and cogged eaves cornice at rear. Three bays with pilasters at ends
windows have gauged flat heads; 4-light replacement casements in outer bays;
central first floor 16-pane sash; central entrance has a moulded flat canopy,
entablature and flanking pilasters, raised and fielded panelled reveals and
soffit, a partly-glazed door with glazed surround and a transom light with a
central diamond-shaped pane. Attic lights in gable ends. There is a two-
storey wing to rear right. The Queen's Public House faces the main western
approach to Belbroughton village and is situated opposite Corner House and
adjoining out-building (qv) and Island House (qv). Included for group value.
