Farmhouse, now a private house, and attached outbuildings, C16, N
parlour wing c.1600, altered and extended in C19 and C20. Timber frame,
brick casing and extensions, all roughcast externally. Steep old red
tile roofs. Outbuildings timber framed dark weatherboarded generally but
thin red brickwork to NW corner. A 2-storeys, H-plan house facing E with
2-storeys extensions to NW and SW linking to former farm buildings
around a rear courtyard now an enclosed garden. Irregular fenestration
with casement windows and small panes. Entrance by glazed door under
porch in middle of E front, which has been extended forward for lobby
and new staircase with flatter-pitched front roof slope propped off
surviving older roof structure. Roofspace has wide-span collar-and-side-
purlin roof with tall queen-struts and smoke-blackened re-used rafters.
N parlour-crosswing has external N sidewall chimney with pedimented
strapwork oval motif in cut and moulded brickwork on outer face.
