Grounds about 290m SE
of Moor Park


Statue closing vista to SE of Moor Park (q.v.) on edge of lake in Old
Pleasure Grounds laid out by Capability Brown, c.1755-60. Antique female
figure holding book. Hellenistic drapery and hair style. Early C19
ashlar pedestal with moulded plinth and cornice, moulded panels to each
face. Included for group value. See steps, walls and gates (q.v.).
