City of London Coal Duty Marker. 1861. Cast by Henry Grissell, Regents
Canal Ironworks. Cast iron square pier one and a half metres high,
painted white. Chamfered corners. Pyramid top. City of London crest on
necking. Raised panel on front face of shaft has raised lettering 'Act
24 and 25 Vict. Cap 42'. Marked extent of coal duty to boundary of
Metropolitan Police District. See Stockers House, STOCKERS FARM ROAD,
Rickmansworth Parish. See also London Borough of Harrow.
