Barn. C17. Timber frame on tarred brick sill, dark weatherboarded, with
half-hipped steep roof now clad in corrugated iron, carried lower over
projecting lean-to E porch. A tall 5-bays barn facing E with opposed
double doors in middle bay. Jowled posts hollow chamfer to chin of jowl,
mid-height rail, long straight tension braces, long straight braces to
cambered tie-beams, one purlin to each roofslope carried on inclined
straight queen-posts. Face halved bladed scarf joint in wallplate at
mid-bay.
