Farmhouse. Late C18 or early C19, with early C19 addition. Left section
red and grey brick in Flemish bond, with slate roof. Right section red
brick in Flemish bond with plain tile roof. Right section has rear return
wings to right and left. Left section is built as cross-wing parallel to
rear left return wing, and with front gable end flush with front elevation
of right section. 2 storeys, left section with slightly higher eaves than
right, and both with dentilled brick eaves cornice. Roof of left section
hipped to front. Right section hipped to right and left, hips returning to
Two slender projecting brick stacks to left side of left section,
and corniced rear stack towards centre of right section. Irregular
fenestration of 4 recessed sixteen-pane sashes; one under eaves cornice
to centre of front gable end of left section, and regular three-window
front with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs to right section. Similar
sashes to ground floor, all with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. Half-
glazed double doors with narrow margin lights, in panelled recess to left
end of right section. Semi-circular fanlight with radiating glazing bars
above door but to front of recess. Broad Doric porch. Two-storey brick rear
wing with hipped slate roof at right-angles to rear gable end of left
section, and projecting slightly to left, with corniced stack. Interior
not inspected.
