Cottage. C18; refronted in C19 and extended in C20. Roughcast brick ground floor,
tile hung timber frame above, front rendered. Plain tile roof with gabled and half
hipped ends and gabled front. Brick gable end and rear lateral stacks.

2-room plan, the larger left hand room heated from gabled end stack and with direct
entry from central doorway; smaller unheated right hand room has later rear lateral
fireplace. Stairs in central rear stair turret rise from left hand room. C20
outshut rear left and flat room single storey extension on left end.

2 storeys and attic. Symmetrical north east front, the centre built forward in C19
and gabled; C19 8-pane sashes and central stack to left and outshut to right and
casement windows with glazing bars. C20 small single storey flat roof extension on
left (south east) end.

Interior: Larger left hand room has slightly chamfered cross-beam with runt-out
stops, exposed joists and large brick fireplace with cambered brick arch. C18
2-panel door to cupboard at rear under stairs. Small right hand room has exposed
joists and small C19 lateral fireplace with cambered brick arch. Winder stairs in
rear turret. Left hand chamber has simple C18 stone chimneypiece with bead moulding
and cast-iron grate. Right hand chamber has small Victorian Chimneypiece and grate
and exposed wall plate. Attic ceiled but clasped purlins and collars exposed.

Cottage. Mid Cl7 with C19 front gable. Plastered to north-east; other ele-
vations, red brick ground floor, tile-hung 1st floor. Plain tiled roofs with
taller central return gable to north-east, half-hipped roof behind with 1 1/2-
storey wing to rear and tall brick stack off-ridge to rear at right. 2 storeys
and attics; 2 window front with blocked window in gable. Glazing bar sashes to
front, casements to sides and rear. CentraI half-glazed door with C20 glazed
weather patch. 1-storey lean-to extensions to north-west and south-east.
