House, 1811 by John Webb. Sandstone ashlar with hipped slate roof. The south front is a symmetrical composition of 2 storeys and 5 bays, with plinth, 1st floor sill band, and cornice with blocking course. Windows sashed with glazing bars and plain ashlar reveals, those to the left-hand bay being blind. The central 1st floor window is tripartite, with the outer lights blind. The tetrastyle Ionic porch has half columns as responds. The doorway is flanked by lights which have sashes with glazing bars. Chimneys on ridge. The west facade has similar details and has a central 2-storey canted section flanked on each side by 2 bays. Interior has moulded cornices, mahogany doors, and some marble fireplaces. The cantilevered stair has stick balusters and a wreathed handrail. A separate open well has a balustraded lst floor 1anding and an oval dome with skylight.
