16/28 Doeford Bridge

Bridge over the River Hodder, c.1770. Squared sandstone blocks. 2 segmental
arches with central cutwater of triangular section. String below solid
parapet with coping. Some masons'marks visible. Weld, John, A History of
Leagram, Chetham Society N.S. 72, 1913. Part of this bridge is in Aighton,
Bailey and Chaigley parish (q.v.).
