12/230 Nichol House Farmhouse,
cottage (No 28) and barn
Farmhouse, cottage end barn in one range. House probably Cl7, cottage and barn C18. All are of coursed
rubble, with large squared quoins to house and barn. Coping to gables. L-shaped plan, orignally end
baffle entry. Ground floor has plain doorway and chamfered door with semi-circular head; between is
5-light window with splayed head, sill, jambs and mullions, the lights have semi-circular heads. Above
is a similar 5-light window, C19 sash window and single light window with semi-circular head and glazing
bars. Ridge stack. Cottage to right has C18 windows and plain door. Barn has segmental arched cart
