SK 90 NW WELL CROSS (South Side)

Cottage. Late C17/early C18. Coursed rubble stone with quoins and stone dressings
and Collyweston slate roof with moulded stone and truncated brick end stacks
and C20 projecting stack. Stone coped gables. L plan, wing projects forward
on right. Entrance on right side of this. 1½ storeys with central low wide
doorway with 6-panelled door, the upper 4 panels glazed. To left a 10/10
C20 sash window and 2-light hipped dormer over. To right a 1-light stone
framed window in gable. On left end a 1 storey extension with door and 2-light
stone mullion window and Collyweston slate roof. On right end 2 2-light hipped
dormers over a 3-light and a 4-light stone mullion window with hood moulds
and small similar 2-light without. Similar hipped dormer to rear. Beams and
2 inglenooks inside.
