7.11.66 Gibbet Post


Gibbet post. 1800. Square sectioned wooden post fixed in the ground.
A plaque inscribed: "This Gibbet was erected a ½ of a mile from the
scene of a murder committed by John Massey February, 1800", had been
removed by time of resurvey (February, 1988).
