Lodge, now a house. Early C19 with late C19 alterations.
Coursed and squared ironstone and brick with limestone dressings
and Collyweston slate roofs. Chamfered plinth, elaborate
bargeboards, restored paired central stone ridge stack. One and
a half storeys, 3 bays. T-plan. North front has a central
gabled porch with moulded Tudor arched doorway, close boarded
door and hood mould. In each side, a single chamfered casement.
Beyond, on each side, a 2 light mullioned iron casement with
moulded surround and hood mould. Above, 2 gabled dormers, each
with a 2 light wooden mullioned casement, with elliptical head
and leaded glazing. East side has gabled wing to right, with a
square bay window with a 3 light mullioned casement. In return
angle, a Tudor arched doorway. Beyond, to left, brick lean-to
addition. In return angle, a 2 light mullioned wooden casement
with Tudor arched head. Beyond, to left, single storey wash-
house has a square corner stack with a coped octagonal stalk.
East side has a small casement. South side has a wooden double
lancet. Above, to right, gable containing a 2 light mullioned
wooden casement. West side has 2 mullioned casements. This
building was erected as a lodge to the main entrance to
Stapleford Park.
