Late C19. Classically derived stone building. 6 storeys and mansard. 5 window
bays wide. The facade divided as follows: Ground storey rusticated Doric base with frieze and cornice over. 1st storey a deep mezzanine with Ionic order of attached colonnettes to windows. 2nd and 3rd storeys united by giant Corinthian order of pilasters and attached columns with main cornice over. Double attic and mansard above. Terminal bays slightly projecting and emphasised in principal storeys by shallow oriels and enrichment to frieze of main cornice.
Entrance to Crosby Square penetrates ground storey.
