House, now restaurant. Early C19. Flemish bond brick with channelled stucco
rustication to ground floor; slate roof; brick stack. Two-room plan with central
staircase. 4 storeys; 2-window range to Alie Street. Mid/late C19 plate-glass
sashes set in square-headed architraves to ground floor; gauged brick flat arches
over 12-pane first-floor sashes set in semicircular arched recesses; gauged brick
flat arches over mid/late C19 four-pane second-floor sashes and 12-pane third-
floor sashes. Similar 3-window range return to Mark Street has early C19 door set
in semicircular arched architrave and two sash windows flanked by blind windows to
upper floors. Interior: staircase, with balustrade removed. One of a group of 4
symmetrically-placed entrance blocks at each end of Mark Street.
