Terrace houses. c.1800-01. Stock brick, concealed slate roofs. 4 storeys and
basements. Closely similar design but No. 58 has a 2 window wide front whilst No. 59
is of one bay only. Doorways to left and right respectively, both semicircular
arched with 6 panel doors and radial patterned fanlights. Recessed glazing bar
sashes under flat gauged arches, tripartite to No. 59. Stone 1st floor plat band and
parapet with coping. 1st floor windows have wrought iron guards, plain to No. 58 and
trellis pattern to No. 59. No. 58 has C.20 wrought iron railings and overthrow in
early C18 style. No. 59 retains short length of original railings with urn finialed
standards, by doorway. Interiors have simple early C19 mouldings, original doors and
geometrical wood staircases. No. 58 has a number of reset ornate wooden chimneypieces
incorporating early to mid C18 carving etc.
