7/89 Church of St Thomas

1864-9, by W Walker of Manchester. Prominently sited on open slope above road.
In perpendicular style. Coursed rubble. Large. W tower with panelled middle stage,
top stage with paired louvred windows and panelled battlements and pinnacles. Battle-
mented chancel, aisles and pave. Clerestory windows straight-headed, rest 4-centre-
headed. Stair windows at west ends of aisles.
