1846, architect, W Hayley, at a cost of about ¿7,000, partly given by the Commissioners.
Large building in coursed yellow stone with ashlar dressings and rustication.
Welsh slate roof. Interesting west tower with Early English portal and West
window with plate tracery. Recessed spire in ashlar and pierced parapet with
angel corbels and finials. Nave and aisles. Paired lancets. Transepts and
a short lower chancel. Clock to tower.

Christ Church and Christ Church School, (of local interest) form a group visually with LNWR Warehouse and Engine House opposite.
