Barn to south-west of Gidlow Hall

5-bay barn with adjoining outbuilding. Possibly C16 with
later alterations and additions. Brick on stone base, roof
slate to front, stone slate to rear. Ventilation slots and
cheeked entrances with offsets and barn doors. Later garage
door inserted in end, with renewed brickwork above. Interior
has four roof trusses on internal buttresses, collar and
tie-beam trusses with struts; end cross-wall. Adjoining building
is later, brick with slate roof. Large doors and projection
under cat-slide roof for cow house to left. Left-hand end
has stone fragment with blocked entrance, probably early.
