7/53 Home Farmhouse

sFarmhouse. C17, altered late C18. Brick, colourwashed to facade. Thatched
roofs. T plan. Facade of 2 storeys in 3 bays. Central early C20 gabled
porch. Renewed casements right and left and 3 similar to first floor. 2 late
C17 oval lights flank central first floor window. Gabled roof with internal
end stacks. South gable has square staircase tower at west corner lit through
2 C20 windows. North gable constructed in header bond brickwork and bears
datestone 1791. Gabled 2 storey rear cross wing with central ridge stack.
North side retains 5-light early C18 casement to first floor. Similar 2-light
casement to its left. Gable end with tumbling.
