4/98 Mill Farmhouse


Farmhouse. C17, re-faced in C19. Timber frame encased in brick with one
original brick gable-end visible. Black pantiled roof. Lobby-Entrance
type house with a taller added cross-wing. One storey with attic; cross-wing 2 storeys
with attic. C20 fenestration in C19 openings with cambered heads except-
for south gable-end of cross-wing with 4 original window openings beneath
rectangular hood-moulds and a blocked doorway also with a rectangular hood-
mould. 4 gabled dormers with shaped barge boards and an off-centre axial
stack with 2 octagonal shafts to original wing. Crow-stepped gables. Gable-
end stacks with octagonal shafts to cross-wing.
