7/16 2 Barns immediately
north-west of the
White House.


Pair of barns forming L-shaped plan; southern range dated 1790 in knapped
flint figures on gable. Red brick and coursed knapped flint. Southern range
pantiled, northern range thatched. Southern barn has segmental opening in
north side and lean-to on south. King post roof, probably original. Northern
range with segmental arched opening and lean-to extension on north side.
Parapeted gables. Butt-purlin roof with collars between principal rafters.
Included for group value with the White House.
