7/63 Strumpshaw Hall.
- II

Country House, built 1835 by Thomas Tuck. Gault brick (red brick to rear)
on rendered plinth; hipped slate roof. Two storeys, 3 x 4 bays. Symmetrical
north elevation of three bays with centre bay slightly advanced under a
pediment. Central Doric porch with recessed half-glazed entrance doors with
plastered surround and canopy on consoles. Sash windows with glazing bars;
rubbed skew-back arches over openings. Wooden eaves cornice. Two chimney
stacks behind ridge line. To the west, a lower two-storey service wing, three
windows wide, with two ridge stacks.
