Early C19 stucco fronted house of 3 storeys with projecting pedimented centre.
1:1:1 sash windows in reveals. 2 storey side bay with 2nd floor ironwork railing
to balcony. Central doorway has recessed porch with arch on Ionic half oval
attached columns. North east elevation described under No 82, Derngate.

No 1 forms part of a group with Nos 72 to 82 (even) Derngate.
