Farmhouse. Late C17 with extensive late c18. and early C19 additions, and C20
alterations. Coursed squared ironstone and linestone, plain-tile roofs, brick
ridge, internal and end stacks. 2-unit plan originally. 2-storey, 2-window
range. Old plank door to left with pegged wood surround and stop-chamfered wood
lintel in C20 porch, C20 double-leaf French windows to right and 3.-light leaded
casement to left of centre with stop-chamfered wood lintel. 3-light leaded
casements to first floor with stop-chamfered wood lintels. quoins and
stone-coped gable to left with kneelers. 7-storey, 2-window extension to right,
set-back, with 2- and 3.-light casement windows to ground and first floors with
wood lintels, stone-coped gable with kneelers to right. Large 2-storey, 2-window
wing projects to left with short link joining it to main house. Probably early
C19 with similar 2- and 3-light leaded windows. Interior has chamfered spine
beams and open fireplace with chamfered bressumer. Formerly thatched.
