4/9 Broomhouse Farmhouse

GV 11

Farmhouse. Early C19. Ashlar. Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys. Originally
3 bays with one-storey, one-bay addition to left.Made 4 full bays in mid Cl9.
Parallel range added to rear, also mid C19. Solid, square corniced porch, central
in original house with crescent moon, for Duke of Northumberland, in frieze.
Sash windows, glazing bars removed. 2 corniced stone stacks both formerly on
gable ends but one now on ridge. Later brick stack on left gable.
