9/1 Clumber Bridge (that part
in Worksop Rural District)
30.11.66 II*

Road bridge. c.1770. By Stephen Wright. Ashlar. 3 nearly
semi-circular arches with raised architraves and fluted
keystones. The taller central arch is flanked by plain pilasters
supported by octagonal cutwaters with domed tops. The outer pair
of arches have rusticated advanced piers containing semi-circular
headed niches and blank semi-circular headed panels with
keystones beyond. The balustraded top sits on a dentillated
cornice. The swept ends to the bridge terminate in circular
piers with domed tops. See also Worksop M.B. for north side.
