Late C18. Has been a symmetrical group of 3 houses, centre house with
slightly projecting facade. Silver grey brick walls with red quoins and
window dressings continued as vertical strips up building. Stucco band
below parapet and old tiled roof. 3 storeys, 4 windows all sashes, those
of 46 and 50 with glazing bars. No 46 is complete in original state with
arched recessed doorway, panelled reveal and simple fanlight. Nos 48
and 50 have modern shop fronts.

Nos 44 to 52 (even) and Nos 60 to 64 (even) form a group with Nos 45,
45A and 47 and Nos 53 to 81 (odd) opposite and with No 2 New Street.
