Nos 55 to 59 (odd)

3 houses all part of same range forming 3 sides of a square. Mostly later
facings onto timber framed building; framing exposed in rear facade.
No 55. Early C19 facade, stuccoed (with bracketed moulded eaves cornice)
and old tiled hipped roof. 2 storeys, 2 windows of 3 lights with glazing
bars, those of ground floor with cambered head linings. Central door
with fluted pilasters and decorative motifs above. No 59. Recessed part
of range. Brick underbuilt ground floor, stucco above. Old tiled roof.
2 storeys, door with small hood and small window with leaded glazing.
Window openings, especially those of 1st floor, probably original.
No 57. Recessed rear continuous with No 59 and has very small 1st floor
window. Street facade, later C19. Flint with red brick dressings and
stucco gable end with carved bargeboard. 2 storeys and attic. 1 window,
with elaborate gables and hoods above modern casements. This later part
of No 57 included as integral part of whole range.

No 45 and Meeting House Cottage, with Nos 51 to 61 (odd) and Portland
Cottage with its garden wall form a group with No 46, Magnolia Cottage,
Northlea and its former coach house, Easby House and its former coach
house and Nos 70 to 84 (even) opposite.
