14/66 Hinksey Hill Farm, barn
approx. 20m. NE of farmhouse
Barn, now store. Dated 1776 on tie beam. Coursed limestone rubble; half-hipped
stone slate roof. L-plan of 4 and 4 bays. Dressed quoins to threshing floor
entries, which have hipped midstreys to rear. Interior: collar-truss roofs with
butt purlins: braced post at junction between 2 barns. Barn on left,
distinguished by pup-hog/ventilation holes and more irregular masonry, probably
has earlier origins.
