Market Cross. Late Lib. Limestone. Octagonal with domical capping; each face has
weathered figures of saints in niches. Noted as being of considerable local
importance. Formerly sited to south of front door of St. Gabriel's House,
Newbury Street, and then inside Urban District Council Offices, Portway, from
whence removed to its present position in the Vale and Downland Museum Centre.
