Houses, now shops. C15 and late C19: late C19 to right (No.36) with left block
dated 1884 on front; C15 parallel rear range and wing to rear at right-angles
Left range: Mock timber framing over tile cladding; old tile roof; brick stack.
2 storeys and attic; 2-window range. C20 shop front. Late C19 first-floor
3-light cross windows and 2-light windows in gabled dormers. Cross-gabled roof;
left gable end stack. No. 36 set back and to right: 2 storey, 2-window range;
roughcast with gabled Welsh slate roof and late C19 dentilled cornice and horned
sashes over C20 shop front. C15 two-storey rear range, roughcast with gabled old
tile roof and late C19 brick lateral and ridge stacks, has right-angled C15
two-bay jettied range to rear, mainly rendered over timber framing with arch
braces and wattle and daub infill, with gabled old tile roof and C20 brick gable
end stack. Interior: Rear range has no exposed trusses. Jettied range (with
access to No.36) could not be inspected but is a rare and probably complete
example of a C15 jettied town house.
