(Formerly listed as Cottage
Stables and coach house. Probably C18. Marlstone and limestone rubble with
squared marlstone quoins; Stonesfield-slate roof. Single range. One storey plus
loft. Front has 2 doorways, one with a stable door, flanking a 3-light casement
plus, to right, a carriage doorway; further section to right, now ruinous, has a
doorway between 2-light casements. Roof retains one gabled roof dormer, but
probably had more, and has gable parapets. Interior not inspected. Ruinous
section said to have accommodated the village school. Included for group value.
