of Tyte Farmhouse
Granary and farmbuilding. Early/mid c18, Limestone rubble with wooden lintels:
Welsh-slate and Stanesfield-slate roofs. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys. 3-window main
range has a first-floor doorway to left of centre, approached by stone steps,
and has a ground-floor doorway to extreme right. Right bay is earlier. The
single-unit building projecting to right may be the earliest part and has a
stone-slate roof and a doorway in the gable wall with a window above. Interior:
the lower floor of the main range is considerably below ground level. Included
for group value.
