4/36 The Old Post Office

House, latterly shop, now house. Mid-C17 with later additions and
alterations. Timber framed with painted brick infill, thatched roof.
One storey and attic; 3 framed bays; framing: square panels, 3
from cill to wall-plate (re-built in brick to centre and painted black
and white in imitation); long straight tension braces and V-struts
from collar to right gable end; ground floor has 2 late C20 casements
to left and one late C19 cast-iron patterned casement to right, gabled
eaves dormer above to left; prominent central reddish brown brick
ridge stack. 2-storey late C19 gabled red brick addition to left
not of special architectural interest.
