Farmhouse. Late C18. Red brick on dressed grey sandstone plinth.
Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic. Chamfered plinth,
plat bands above ground-and first-floor windows and parapeted gable ends
with chamfered sandstone copings and shaped stone kneelers. Integral
brick end stacks. 3 bays; segmental-headed glazing bar sashes with
painted stone cills. Central door with 6 beaded flush panels (top 2
glazed) with moulded architrave and gabled lattice wooden porch. Chamfered
rectangular datestone above central first-floor window (illegible at
time of survey - January 1987). The front looks as though it might
have been refenestrated at some time (see lines of closers each side
of left-hand windows). Two-light wooden attic windows in gable ends.
Two-storey red sandstone kitchen wing at rear with slate roof and brick
ridge stack. Interior not inspected. Timber framed malt house adjoining
rear wing at right angles.
