Barn approx. 15m south-west of Pear Tree Farmhouse

Barn. Early C18 with later alterations. Timber framed with red brick
infill and part weatherboarded; corrugated iron roof. 2 levels; eaves
hatch to left with low double doors immediately to right, C20 gabled
eaves dormer to right of centre. Vertical timber posts visible to front
below weatherboarded upper storey but gable ends rebuilt in late C19
red brick below tie beams. Interior: framing visible; vertical posts,
some with horizontal timbers forming square panels. Single-purlin roof
in 3 wide bays with collar and tie beam end trusses, one queen-strut
truss to right and raking struts from tie beam supporting principal rafter
to left; jowled wall posts and straight windbraces. Continuous loft.
Pear Tree Farmhouse is not included in this list.
