House. Mid to late C17, altered and extended in the early C19 and further enlarged in the late C19. Pebbledashed brick with timber-framed core. Slate roofs.
C17 two bay range with parallel early C19 range to north west, addition to north east, and further additions to south east. C17 range of two storeys and gable-lit attic with three storey early C19 range and two storey additions to rear.
North west front: overhanging eaves. Rendered brick end stacks, C17 range with integral lateral brick stack, and rear wings with integral brick lateral and end stacks. Three bays; glazing bar sashes with painted stone cills and lintels; French casements to first floor. Pair of ground floor canted bays. Full width first floor balcony consisting of square-section lattice wooden posts around cast-iron columns, with lattic spandrels, moulded cornice and cast-iron balustrade consisting of intersecting ellipses; central part projecting as porch. Central four-panelled door (lower beaded flush and upper glazed) with fluted impost band, rectangular overlight with lattice glazing bars, panelled reveals and soffit, and architrave with raised lattice work.
Interior: central range has pairs of C17 ovolo-moulded ceiling beams with ogee stops and central ground-floor chamfered wall plate with ogee stops. C19 Jacobean-style fireplace overmantel.
