House and shop attached to a further shop by a contiguous outbuilding. Late C18. Coursed rubble, slate roof to number 2, double Roman tile roof to remainder, coping differentiating that of 4A which is of lower pitch. Irregular facade in 3 parts. Number 2 of 2 storeys, 2 bays, flush mounted sash windows of 4 panes to first floor, 2 shop windows to ground floor, to left broad 6 pane sash window under a wooden lintel to right shop front with a 6 pane opening flanked by pilasters with fluted caps supporting a leaded drip hood. Central door opening, 6-panelled door, top 2 panels glazed. To left continuous outbuilding of 2 bays, 2 storeys; left bay has 5 pane casements under wooden lintels; further small plank door under wooden lintel on first floor; 2 door openings on ground floor, to left recessed broad plank doors, to right 6-panelled door, top 2 panels glazed, both under wooden lintels. Attached shop to left divided by a plain pilaster has handsome shop front on an ashlar base. Central recessed three-quarter glazed door, transon light; 6-light window each side, the whole flanked by panelled pilasters supporting a narrow faciaboard carrying 4 moulded brackets in turn supporting a narrow drip-hood.
