8/21 Lime Kiln at NGR ST 6016 5285


Lime kiln. C19. Coursed and squared rubble. Large square structure, square on plan, flat top with retains of thin iron railings, hoist. Concave draw-hole at base. Lean-to attached to front is not of special interest. Stands on the site of
a former quarry. An important and complete industrial survival.
