Congregational church. 1708, enlarged 1825. Rendered, shallow pitched Welsh
slate roof. 2-storeys and 3-bays, no windows on north wall to Silver Street.
Entrance at west end at right angle to road; pointed windows and intersecting
leaded tracery, semi-circular headed doorway with rusticated voussoirs and
reveals, and illegible datestone above. South side, round headed sash windows
with glazing bars and east bay slightly enlarged circa 1900 to take new organ.
East end, 2 Venetian tracery windows with stained glass of 1897. Interior: west
end wooden gallery, panels sunk with croisseted mouldings, carried on cast iron
columns erectecd 1825; space below blocked 1976. North wall gallery added 1876,
cast iron enriched baluster. Coved ceiling. Pews of 1870. Mahogany pulpit with
inset cast iron panels laid on red velvet background, late C19,
