9/198 Ye Olde Crown Hotel

Inn. C18 with later alterations. Coursed and squared limestone
rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings; plain tile roof; rough-
cast integral end stacks. 2 parallel ranges aligned north-east /
south-west facing south-east, the north western range terminated at
its north-east end by a short range aligned north-west/south-east so
forming a rectangle with the other 2 ranges. South-east front: 2
storeys; 3 bays, 3-light chamfer mullioned windows to left and right,
circular window to first floor centre; central half-glazed door.
North-west front: 2 storeys; 2 bays, gable of north-east range to
the left, chamfer mullioned windows to ground floor right of 4 lights,
and to first floor right of 3 lights; door to left of centre with
Victorian gabled porch. North-east front: 2 storeys; 2 bays, gable
of south-east range to the left, 2-light chamfer mullioned windows to
ground floor and first floor right, casement to ground floor left;
door to right of centre with Victorian gabled porch.
