Public House)


Public house. C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. 2 storeys and
attics, 3 windows. Timber-framed and rough-cast rendered, the
gable and rear wing jettied at 1st floor towards Sun Lane.
Plaintiled roofs with flat-roofed casement dormers; late C17
cruciform chimney of gault brick. A C19 flat-roofed splayed bay;
mid C20 casements at 1st floor. 2 entrance doorways, each with
pair of 2-panelled glazed doors. Some C17 timber framing exposed
internally at 1st floor, and a section of mid C18 staircase
balustrading with moulded handrail and turned balusters.
