7/119 Ashfords (York


Shop. "York Buildings 1832" on painted stone plaque. 6 windows;
3 storeys, with attics to central set-forward block 2 windows
wide. Gault brick, with broken pediment of wood surmounting the
central block. Slated roof with axial chimneys of gault brick;
oversailing eaves with the deep soffit decorated with stars
(partly renewed). Sash windows of various patterns: at 1st floor
with moulded architraves and cornices on console brackets, at 2nd
floor small-pane sashes with semi-circular arched heads in centre
and with segmental arched heads to left and right. Several
windows retain C19 blind boxes. A mid C20 shop front along full
length of building.
