A fine C14 and C15 flint and stone building. The chancel was largely
rebuilt in 1878. The nave and aisles are C14, with castellated parapets
with chequer work on the nave and stone on the aisles. The west tower
is C15, with angle buttresses with chequer work on the faces, castellated
parapet and a stair turret. The south porch has flush work panelling,
set back buttresses and 3 open niches. The nave roof has double-hammer
beams with shields with royal emblems at the lower ends. There are monograms
of James I and Charles I. The interior fittings include the mainly C15
benches with poppy head bench ends and a C18 octagonal pulpit.
