Farmhouse. Early C17 with C19 alterations. Timber framed core, encased in
mid C19 red brick. Roof of glazed black pantiles. 2 storeys and attic. 2-
cell lobby entry type. 3 windows, C18 mullion and transom casements with
large panes; flat brick arches. Mid C19 gabled brick porch with shaped
bargeboards and spike finial; mid C20 door. Internal stack. The rear slope
of the roof-has been raised to span a later lean-to but the earlier roof is
still intact. Internally the structure is almost entirely concealed. Some
ovolo-moulded bridging beams. Newel stairs. Wind-braced roof with clasped
and diminished butt purlins.
