Stable block. Early C19. Stock brick with hipped slate roof. 3 brick stacks. 2 storeys
on plinth. Rectangular, 7 bays long. Main front to rear: blind arcade to ground
floor with guaged brick arches and brick flat band above . Dentilled and bracketed
eaves. Glazing bar sash windows under gauged heads to first floor. Leaded casement
windows to ground floor. Ribbed, planked door under pointed arched head to centre
with glazed paired doors to either end. Central square tower with square domed
cupola above under gilt crowning weathervane. Rear wall of the stable block forms
an important feature of the High Street.
