GV II

Malthouse, now East Sussex County Records Office. Late C18 or early C19,
converted during later C20. Flint with brick banding, quoins and dressings.
Slate roof with four skylights in roof, to north with 3 to south. 2 storeys;
irregular fenestration to north of seven windows on first floor in brick
dressed surrounds with segment heads. Five on ground floor, that to right
blocked with doorway off-centre to right. Entrance in west end with boarded
door and flanking lights in wide segment-headed surround with wide three-light
window over. Two small windows flanking doorway on ground floor. Included
for group value.
