Built as a single composition; the Fleece Inn originally comprised all 3
premises with a spacious yard behind. C18 front to a timber framed core;
original wall of timber framed building still exists behind modern frontage.
3 storeys. Painted brick; No 60 stuccoed. Cornice and parapet with large
pediment above Venetian windows on 1st floor of Nos 58 and 60. On 2nd floor
above Venetian windows, a semi-circular window at eastern end and in No 60
a window with segmental head [altered].
Also 1 sash window on lst floor of No 58 and 1 bow window in No 59 with 3
small windows in centre on 2nd floor. Modern public house front to No 58,
but doorway with Doric columns and pediment preserved; No 59 has mid-Cl9
shop front of 2 tall square bays of 5 lights each; doorway with moulded
frame and panelled door with top 4 panels cut away and glazed. Modern shop
front to No 60.

Nos 57 to 61 (consec) and No 61A form a group.
