One building with No 2 CHURCH STREET. Late C17 building with walls now
covered with later stucco. 3 storey plus attic, 2 window facade facing
Jury Street. 6 window facade facing Church Street. Both elevations have
sashes in plain reveals, 3 storeys stone Corinthian pilasters at quoins
with projecting section of entablature over. Large projecting wood cornice
breaks forward over pilasters and is enriched with egg-and-tongue mould,
carved console brackets and paterae to soffit. Inoffensive C19 plate glass
shopfronts. No 2 Church Street has, in addition, simple doorcase with
attached Doric columns and 6-panel door. One hipped dormer facing Jury
Street. Hipped roof of old tiles. Panelled first floor room.
